The Significance of the Autumn Season

Autumn always has a powerful influence on me. It’s cozy when the air turns crisp, and the leaves become an ever-changing palette of gold, orange, and red. It sets the stage for composting the past and building a fertile soil for fulfillment. It’s a time to reflect, be mindful, and initiate a new vision.

Transformation – This season is a reminder that our mind, body, and environment are always changing. Because of the impermanent nature of life, it’s important to embrace and savor the present.

Serenity – We spend more time indoors as Autumn progresses. Creating comforting, peaceful surroundings makes us feel more inspired and serene.

Protection – We protect our bodies by wearing layers and thicker fabrics as the days get cooler. It’s an ideal time to improve our health, boost our immunity, and support our inner balance.

Mystery – There are mysteries that are omnipresent in everyone’s life. The dramatic changes that occur in Autumn are reminders that there will always be unknowns that will unfold with each season.

Release – Like the leaves falling from the trees, we can choose to let go of the external and internal stressors that cause conflict. It opens space for people and experiences that are in alignment with who we are at this period in our lives.

This is a wonderful time to pause and reflect…personally and professionally. As winter looms, think about how your current activities can set the stage for a better future.

“Fall has always been my favorite season. The time when everything bursts with its last beauty, as if nature had been saving up all year for the grand finale.” – Lauren DeStefano
