Inspired by the Bright Spots

In 2005, I published a how-to book for small retailers that was based on research and interviews that I did with my clients. I compiled the information while I was working as an independent sales representative in the gift and apparel industry in Northern California. It was a valuable experience because it helped me build relationships and ultimately get hired for jobs. It was also an achievement that I hoped to accomplish at some point in my life. Writing a book can be a life-changing experience.

This year, I had the opportunity to contribute a chapter to an anthology book that was compiled by Cathy L. Davis. Cathy and her husband Jack from Creative Publishing Partners have been “helping experts find their voice, share their stories, and publish books that connect people, create community and foster compassionate conversations to bring us together.”

“Bright Spots: Motivation and Inspiration to Light Your Path in a Changing World” has over 40 Authors who have written compelling stories that provide hope, strength, and courage based on their own experiences. Cathy, Jack, Rebecca Hall Gruyter, and Kay Uhles Clark worked with us to get the project launched and marketed on Amazon.

My chapter is about “The Power of Personal Branding.” The book is currently an international best seller in four countries. It is available as an eBook and in a print version that can be purchased by clicking on this link.

Better keep yourself clean and bright; you are the window through which you must see the world.
