Capturing the Moments with Smartphone Photography

I confess. I’m addicted to photography! I enjoy shooting pictures professionally and personally so I frequently have a camera with me. When I don’t have a camera, I often shoot with my Android Smartphone. There are so many camera and photo editing apps available…for FREE!

Don’t get me wrong! I love my Canons and the accessories I’ve managed to accumulate over the years. But there are times when I don’t have everything I need, and there are moments that must be captured. That happened when I visited the magnificent Museum of Transport in St. Louis. In addition to their amazing transportation displays, there was a car show that featured classic cars that had been made in St. Louis. My Smartphone came to the rescue!

When you find the right mix of camera and editing apps, you never have to miss a chance to capture the moments – as long as your phone is with you and charged up!

In addition to capturing the moments, there are several uses for your camera including photographing:

  • Recipes
  • Labels
  • Documents
  • Prescriptions
  • Business cards
  • License plates
  • Playlists
  • Book covers
  • Emergency contact information
  • Placements on video/audio gear
  • Clothing tags
  • Favorite products
  • Business hours
  • To-do lists

Smartphones are always in your pocket.  They’re about reactive capture.
