CAPTURING THE MOMENTS WITH SMARTPHONE PHOTOGRAPHY

Dining Car at the Museum of Transport in St. LouisI confess. I’m addicted to photography! I enjoy shooting pictures professionally and personally so I frequently have a camera with me. Last year, I starting using an Android Smartphone and was astounded at how many camera and photo editing apps were available…for FREE! Don’t get me wrong! I love my Canons and the expensive accessories I’ve managed to accumulate over the years. But there are times when I don’t have everything I need, and there are moments that must be captured.

That happened on a recent tour of the magnificent Museum of Transport in St. Louis. In addition to their amazing transportation displays, there was a car show that featured classic cars that had been made in St. Louis. My Smartphone came to the rescue!

I’ve tried several camera apps, including the infamous Instagram, and finally settled on a fun combination. I take most of the pictures with the Flickr camera and use the Streamzoo filters and editing tools. It’s Andrography on the go…anywhere, any time!

Photographers deal in things which are continually vanishing and when they have vanished there is no contrivance on earth which can make them come back again. - Henri Cartier Bresson
